We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator/Manager ideally located in the Des Moines, IA area, to help improve and scale our marketing efforts across a tech-forward organization. Who We Are:

Founded in 2009, MHT is an industry-leading New York-based PoE Building automation software company and lighting manufacturer. MHT’s offerings include their flagship product, Inspextor, and their legacy brand, MHT Lighting. Inspextor is an end-to-end PoE-based solution including the hardware and software necessary to create a smart building. MHT Lighting is one of the first lighting fixture brands to develop PoE-based lighting fixtures for the broader market.

MHT works with many of the leading real estate companies, property developers, and more to bring smart building solutions to life. By doing so, we are working on the cutting edge of building technology and supporting advanced sustainability initiatives with our software and products.

The Role

The Marketing Coordinator/Manager will work directly with the Chief Marketing Officer.

A Sample of Responsibilities:

  • Manage the social media calendar, create social media graphics, write captions, and post content
  • Create email campaigns for various segmented audiences on a monthly and ad hoc basis
  • Manage lists, forms, contacts, reports, and more in the company’s CMS tool
  • Write content for a company blog, white paper, public relations piece, one-pager, etc.
  • Conduct research on the market, our target audiences, competitors, trends, and more
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for program success
  • Plan meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists
  • Maintain inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials when necessary
  • Continually seek new ideas for marketing activities, identify upcoming trends, share best practices, and propose ideas to the CMO
  • Create or edit PowerPoint presentations so they follow brand guidelines, are accurate, and engage the target audience with storytelling techniques

The ideal candidate would have a strong command of the following:

Microsoft Office suite

Webinar and video meeting tools (Zoom, Teams, Google, etc.)

Social media content strategy, creation, and execution tools

Marketing automation tool experience for email campaign creation and newsletter management

CMS tools for website management

Reporting metrics/analytics

Excellent written skills

Strong presentation abilities

Qualifications

Assembly: 2 years (Required)

Work authorization (Required)

Additional experience or knowledge that would benefit this role:

Experience or interest in a related B2B industry such as technology, real estate, or sustainability

HubSpot

Salesforce

Adobe Creative Suite &/or Canva

Google Analytics

WordPress CMS

Marketing planning and executive support

Experience working in digital marketing or at a marketing agency

Your Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree

2+ years of relevant work experience

Other Important Information:

This is a remote-first role but would benefit from occasional in-person collaboration. Candidates located in NYC, Des Moines, IA, and Sioux Falls, SD are preferred but not required.
