Why Isn’t Anyone Talking About Low Voltage Buildings?

Edison was right, Tesla was wrong. While that’s a little play on the 19th-century AC/DC electrical conversation and debate, it’s a timely reminder. Although AC is currently the standard source of power for the world, several low voltage DC powered projects have proven that this new, old form of electricity is significantly less expensive and provides more flexibility. But despite these benefits – and the current push for reducing carbon emissions in buildings – there is still very little discussion on low voltage buildings.

This week, Realcomm Live welcomes a panel of global, leading-edge thinkers on PoE and low voltage power to discuss the reality of getting our built infrastructure converted to a much more efficient, much more sustainable power source. They will explore the possibilities of low voltage and highlight several case studies and state-of-the-art solutions.
